About

I’m Helena Reynolds, a senior creative at We Are Tilt in Brighton.

Design is how I communicate. Storytelling is how I connect.

I’ve worked across digital experiences, immersive games, AR, campaigns, film, and motion.

Whatever shape the work takes, the goal is always the same: make it matter.

Because great work isn’t just seen. It’s felt.

SPOKE (Music Healthtech)

UX Design Intern

2020 - 2021

I was part of a user experience project for the UK’s No. 1 music-focused mental health app. The role involved user interviews, insight analysis, and UX and design recommendations to help shape future iterations of the product.

It was a crash course in designing for real people with real needs.

Definitely Maybe

Cover Art Designer (Freelance)

2019 - 2020

What started as me messing around in Photoshop turned into a steady flow of work designing single and album cover art for independent artists.

It began with a few passion projects and a couple of wishful-thinking tags on social media. When one of my designs for FLETCHER was picked up and shared by her, other independent artists started reaching out for custom artwork. It was all self-taught, but I picked things up quickly. And I discovered something else too…when you truly love what you do, people can’t help but take notice.

Education

Strohacker Design School

Graphic Design

2020

I studied Graphic Design full-time at Strohacker Design School in Chichester. It was an intensive, hands-on course built around realistic briefs from senior creatives at brands like Puma, Levi’s, FatFace and Criminal Damage.

We were pushed to take ideas from concept to delivery at speed: from producing and printing a 60-page magazine in under two weeks to developing a full advertising campaign and several branding projects.

The course gave me a solid foundation in turning creative thinking into practical execution, and a real taste of agency life: intense, but never boring.

Kings College London

Law (Dickson Poon Scholarship)

2014 - 2016

I got a scholarship to study Law at King’s College London but I ended up leaving after two years, just shy of the wig and gown stage.

Leaving when I did was the catalyst that pushed me toward the work I do now and the industry where I undoubtedly belong. My brief law education did, however, leave me with one valuable skill: the knack of distilling the complicated and finding the winning argument. These days, my jury is a Zoom call full of stakeholders. And my job is to make sure the best ideas get the verdict they deserve (pardon the pun).
